account: translation

a record of a business transaction. When you buy something on credit, the company you are dealing with sets up an "account". This means it sets up a record of what you buy and what you pay. You will do the same thing with any customers to whom you extend credit. Glossary of Business Terms

Название раздела бухгалтерской книги, в котором регистрируется движение средств, относящееся к определенному лицу или объекту. Счета состоят из двух колонок; приход записывается в одной колонке, а расход-в другой. Счета могут вестись в письменной форме в бухгалтерской книге, на отдельных карточках либо на магнитном носителе информации в компьютере. 3. Счет, поддерживаемый в банке (bank) или строительном обществе (building society), на который записываются суммы вкладов или ссуд клиента.
