GENERIC ASSET TYPES
A Clearing 21 Asset Management term used to define a group of European sovereign debt securities. For the acceptable pieces of collateral, the clearing firm will use a C21 generic asset type ( bill, bond or note) and the associated currency denomination to reflect the deposit or withdrawal request of the specific foreign sovereign debt.
